The Ronald McDonald house is often described as a home away from home. Houses all over the world provide a ‘home’ with a warm meal and a place to sleep for families whose child is receiving critical medical care at a nearby hospital. What was St. Pete like before the automobile? It was a city of horses and wagons, of course.
